Cheow Lan Lake Tour
Full Day Exploration Lake trip
Place: Ratchaprapha Lake, Khao Sok na2onal park
Time: 08.40-16.30 Hrs. / Daily
Highlight: To explore a lake in the jungle by local boat. The lake is surrounded by Limestone Mountains and cliffs covered in tropical rainforest that rise up from the shore of the lake and disappear into the far distance. The scenery has been compared to Qualin in China or Halong Bay in Vietnam. Few people know of the lake and even less has visited it. There are over one hundred islands in the lake and it is over 60 km from north to south. In the 70’s the area was a hide out for communists and students opposing the military dictatorship.
Activities: Sightseeing by long tailed boat, Jungle trekking, cave visiting and relaxing, swimming and kayaking at the floating house.
What to bring
Swimming suite, towel, sun protec2on, hat and sun glasses, water proof bag, insects repellant, one set of dry cloth.
***Advisable to wear sandals with straps, shorts and a T- shirt. Training shoes are also ok. Big walking boots are not advisable. The trails are easy going and you might be get wet. ****

Itinerary
Day 1 (Khao Sok – Chiewlarn lake)
09.15-09.30 hrs. – Pick you up at The Camper Lodge, proceed to Chiewlarn pier. 10.00 hrs.- Arrive at the pier, greeting with tour guide then take long-tailed boat for sightseeing at the nicest part of the lake where many tourists named Guilin of Thailand, make stop for pictures at the three rocks mountain, the symbolic of this lake.11.00 hrs. Arrive at floating house, check in and take relaxing by swimming and kayaking.
12.30 hrs. Thai set lunch will be served at restaurant.
14.30 hrs. Take long tailed boat to the start point of jungle trekking about 45 minutes, then trekking back to the boat around 45 minutes, on the way back to the float house you can make spotting for animals, birds along the shores and see how beautiful sun set over the blue Chiewlarn lake as an evening safari.
19.00 hrs. Dinner time under the cozy atmosphere, moon and stars lights. After that free time.
🛏 : Stay overnight at a simple floating house (Bathroom/toilet inside)****There is a Wi-Fi but not strong and sometimes might be disappear depending on the weather, electricity will be provided during 6.00 p.m.-6.00 a.m. next day***
Day 2 (Morning Safari – Khao Sok)
06.30 hrs. Depart for morning safari and sun raise watching by long tailed boat. Enjoy the unique views and impressive by the sounds of nature.
07.30-08.30 hrs. Breakfast will be served, then get ready for check out 09.00 hrs. Check out, then keep all good memories before depart for the pier.
11.30 hrs. Arrive at the pier, where lunch boxes will be served. Then transfer you back to The Camper Lodge or you can connect to other destinations from the pier or Baan Takhun bus terminal.

Place : Khao Sok nature trail
Time : Daily at 08.00 hrs./ 10.30 hrs./ 13.00 hrs./ 15.30 hrs.
Special time : 17.00 hrs. ( Depends on the weather and sunlight) Highlights: To explore a nature by ATV. On the way enjoy the scenery of green varieties plants and some kind of birds, small animals in a rainforest , more exciting in rainy season which the most beautiful panorama view of Khao Sok at the end of tour is your reward.

Canoeing or Bamboo rafting on the Sok River

Highlights: To spot exotic birds such as kingfishers, and snakes can be seen curled around the branches on trees along the Sok River.
Activities : Canoeing along Sok River is a very relaxing way to see a different side of the ecology of the region. Our experienced paddle man will paddle for you and takes you on a canoe safari along the Sok River. Breathtakingly beauDful limestone karsts form is the backdrop for the evergreen virgin rainforest we paddle through, make a stop few minutes for a bamboo cup of coffee or tea at the nicest part on the way.

Highlight : To explore the ecology of the rainforest, to see a great variety of exo*c plants, tropical hardwood trees with huge roots, orchids, palms, ferns, bamboos, mosses; the variety is unlimited. Birds such as the hornbill live high up above, gibbon can oPen be heard calling to their mates, a macaque or leaf monkey may be heard swinging through the branches, every day is different but it is truly wonderful to discover the great variety of life forms that co-exists together. This can only by experienced on foot, take it slowly, look, learn and listen then you too will start to discover some of the secrets of the rainforest.

Activities : Trekking in the one of the oldest rainforest at night )me, keep your eyes and ears open, listen to the sound of jungle and wildlife. Don’t be too disappointed if you don’t see any animals – they don’t come out to give us a show! In fact they know exactly where we go and so will purposefully stay away. However if you don’t see them, you’ll certainly hear them!
